Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 920:
Tubonis, it. oder Fubonis (Ra), Θούβουνα (Pt), limes Tubuniensis (ND). Bischöfe werden genannt a. 256. 411; j. Tubna. CIL VIII 4482-4497. Von hier Straße nach Diana und Cirta, mit Meilensteinen, Iss und Ruinen. 25 bis Ad oculum Marinum.

Thubunae/ Tuben Oppidum – Roman/Late Antique (Pliny, NH 5.37; AAA 37.10)

Θούβουνα Siedlung in Mauretania Caes. S VI.
Θούβουνα. Nach Ptolem. IV 2,7 p. 611 Müll. eine Siedlung der Mauritania Caesariensis unter 23° 50´L. und 28° 30´Br. zwischen den Orten Θαμάριθα (s.d.) und Οὐίτακα. Sie ist wahrscheinlich identisch mit dem Tobonis der Tab. Peut. und in diesem Falle dem heutigen Tobna gleichzusetzen. [Hans Treidler.]
