Datierung (Barrington): Alba Docilia – Roman/Late Antique (GAL Piemonte 175-77) DNP: Alba Docilia H. Albisola Superiore, mansio im Gebiet von Vada Sabatia (regio IX) an der Küstenstraße von Genua nach Vado zw. Ad Navalia und Vico Virginis (Tab. Peut. 3,4; Geogr. Rav. 4,32; 5,2). Überreste einer großen villa (vom 1. bis 5./6. Jh. n. Chr. benutzt). Einzige inschr. Erwähnung 1. Jh. v. Chr. [1]. Salomone Gaggero, Eleonora (Genua) RE: Alba Docilia (so Tab. Peut., Alba Decelia Geogr. Rav. IV 32 p. 270 P., Alba Decilia ebd. V 2 p. 337 P.), Ort an der ligurischen Küste, 40 mp. von Genua, 19 mp von Vada Sabatia (Vado). Die Distanzangaben der Tab. Peut. scheinen corrupt; die seit Cluver angenommenene Identificierung mit dem Städtchen Albissola (10 km. von Vado, 38 von Genua) ist unsicher [Hülsen]. Kommentar (Schnetz): Alba Dicilia Sch. (fort. D ut u lectum est).
