Commentary on the Toponym:	Kommentar (Talbert): -> stretch to Noviomagi One stretch is drawn as two. The name and the distance figure of XVIII do not match unless perhaps "dvodecimvm" reflects measurement in Gallic leagues, and XVIII in Roman miles. Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 58: Ad duodecimum; j. etwa bei Heesch, wohin wir mit 18 l. von Nymwegenaus kommen. Anhaltspunkte fehlen. Duodecimum, der 12. Leugenstein, muss wohl von Nymwegen ab gerechnet sein. Dann ist die Zahl 18 falsch. Wollte man von Batavodurum oder Traiecto ab zählen, so erhält man auch kein besseres Resultat. Nach der anderen Deutung käme j. Dodeward in Betracht. Kommentar (Rasch): adDuodecimum opp. 1. im Lande der Bataver zwischen Grinnes und Noviomagus(Nymwegen). Tab. Peut.
