Stadt in Numidia, nordnordwestl. von Lambaesis, h. Aïn Zana. Belege: Itin. Anton. 34,3 (Diana); 35,4 (Diana Veteranorum); Tab. Peut. 3,1 (ad Dianam). Der wohl erst in röm. Zeit gegr. Ort war zunächst eine einfache Siedlung mit Gemeinderat (CIL VIII 1, 4587, 141 n.Chr.) und wurde 162 n.Chr. zum municipium erhoben (CIL VIII 1, 4589; 4599). Seit Mitte des 3. Jh. gab es in D. V. einen Bischof (Cypr. epist. 34,1). Inschr.: CIL VIII 1, 4575-4625; Suppl. 2, 18646-18653; AE 1956, 40-42 Nr. 124; [1].
