River crossing: (river, no. 116) Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 828: Lapheto (irrig Zapheto (Bt, Bg, Ve) und Laphelo)) (fl‘ ohne Namen) und Laphelo (Dj), Lapheton (Ra), Laphetos (Pl), Λάπητος (Pt); j. Lapitho oder Lapta, an einem gleichnamigen Flüßchen. (Ruinen von Paleokastro). Wesler liest hier fälschlicherweise Zapetho. Der erste Buchstabe ist jedoch klar als "L" zu lesen. In den Quellen ist die Schreibung des Namens uneinheitlich: Λήπηθις Φοινίκων (Skyl. § 103); Λάπαθός (Strab. 14,6,3); Λαπήθος πόλις (Ptol. 5,14,4); λἀπαθος (Perip. m. m. § 313 f.); Λάπηθος (Stehp. Byz s.v.), Lapethos (Plin. 5,130).
