The heavily inked "g" could reflect correction of another letter written previously.

Here, too, lettering and linework are not well co-ordinated. If the preceding distance figure (X) and the name (villagai) had not been written so level with one another, it would have been possible to draw a chicane earlier. As it is, the chicane must be postponed, so that the name and associated distance figure (VII) remain on the preceding stretch.
