Lechaion - Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic, Roman (Lauffer 1989, 376-77).

DNP:
Lechaion
(Λέχαιον). Hafen von Korinthos [1] am Korinth. Golf, 3 km nördl. der Stadt, mit dieser in klass. Zeit (ca. 450 v.Chr.) durch eine doppelte Mauer verbunden [1]. Das h. großenteils versandete innere Hafenbecken ist noch erkennbar, dazu ein äußerer Hafen, sonstige Reste sind gering, z.B. eine große früchristl. Basilika [2]. Schiffshäuser erwähnt Xen. hell. 4,4,12, Heiligtümer des Poseidon (Paus. 2,2,3; Kall. h. 4,271) und der Aphrodite (Plut. mor. 146d; SEG 23, 170) [3. 94-97] sind bezeugt. Belege: Strab. 8,6,22; Ptol. 3,15,3.
