Commentary on the Toponym:

Kommentar (Talbert):
-> stretch to Carcassione
Holes and tears in the parchment here make it impossible to be sure of the distance figure. The color scan seems to offer a better impression of it than the 1888 photo, with XIIII and XVII the two most plausible choices. I incline to the former.

Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 109:
Eburomagi (it. Bt, Bg, Ve; irrig Eburomago (rel)), vicus Hebromago (Hi) ; j. Bram.
17 (14 (Bt, Bg, Ve)), 14 (Hi); dazwischen mut. Cedros, j. bei Pezens (bis C. 6, von C. nach Carcassione 8: Hi).
In Saintose wurde 1 Meilenstein mit Entfernung 1 (a Carcassione), I: 5672, gefunden.

Datierung (Barrington):
Hebromagus/ - Hellenistic/Roman/Late Antique Eburomagus
Helena = Ill(ib)erris
(CAGR 12.98; PECS)
