Commentary on the Toponym:	Kommentar (Talbert): There are no previous stretches. Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 112: j. etwa bei Cherbourg zu suchen. Nach anderen: Gonsy, Brest oder Crozion, Les Pieux, Port-Bail, Giraule, Foncemagne; Bucht von St. Martin de la Hague. Bei Cherbourg bestand noch im 11. Jahrhundert ein alter Hafen; es liegt aber von Coutances zu weit entfernt. Coriallo (Cherbourg) wird von Dj (S. 333 ff.) in Beziehung gebracht zu dem keltischen Wall, welcher die nordwestliche Spitze der Halbinsel von Manche durchzieht.
