Commentary on the Toponym:	Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 892: Aulazon (Irrig Aulahon (Pd)), Aulazon (Ra – am Meere). Dieser Platz fällt wohl zusammen mit Opiros, welches die Ta bei den Großen Syrtem nennt, Eperum (Stad), Oisporis (Pt), nach dem Stad. mit einem Hafen für kleine Schiffe und einem „castellum barbarorum“; j. Ruinen in Eski Port; der Hafen von Opiros wird in dem nahen Naim oder Nehim vermutet, welches etwas westlich liegt. 13. Datierung (Barrington): Aulazon – Late Antique (Purcaro Pagano 1976, 329)
