Commentary on the Toponym:

Kommentar (Talbert):
Because space is so tight here, much of the name is written across river #83b. Also exceptional is the placement of its final letters, as well as the distance figure, under the route linework. Note that there is a stop at the end of the upper line. Presumably the two characters after the initial "l" on the lower line are intended to signify "orvm".
-> stretch to Zvre
River crossing: (river, no. 83b)

Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 893:
Macomadase lorum (Irrig Macomada (Bt, Bg, Ve), wo Sclorum und Zahl ganz fehlt; Macomadse (rel); Macomaduse-loy (Dj)), i. e. Macomada Selorum, Sacomadis und Macumades maiorum (Ra), Maoitapades maiores (Gu), Macomadibus Syrtis (It); Euphrantes (Stad, Pt, St), eine Zeitlang Grenzort zwischen Karthagern und Cyrenern – soll mit Mac. Zusammenfallen. Macomades bedeutet „Neue Stadt“; j. bei Marsa Zaffran, Saphran.
