Auf hier gefundenen Iss: civitas [Gortyn.] (CIL III 13565), splendidissima civitas Gortyniorum (ib. 14120), metropolis (ib. 12039), c[ives] R[omani] q[ui] G[ortynae] c[onsistunt] (ib. 12038); bedeutende Ruine am nördlichen Ufer des Malogniti, zwischen Hagios Dheka und Mitropolis. Iss: CIL III 4. 12036 bis 12040. 13563-13568. 14120. 14120(1). CIG 2560.

[T.W.]: Der letzte Buchstabe des Toponyms ist heute nicht mehr erkennbar. Welser und Scheyb lasen noch "Cortina". Diese Schreibweise ist ebenfalls im Ravennaten belegt (Geogr. Rav. 99,24).
