Kommentar zum Toponym:

[Kommentar (BH):
Welser liest "PAMPHILICVM· PELAGVS·", Scheyb liest [..]MPHILICVM· PE[...]VS·"]

Kommentar (Talbert):
The beginning of the name may well be lost in a hole in the parchment. Of the letters which it seems possible to identify, I remain very hesitant about "F", "A" and "S".

Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 955:
Pamphilicvm Pelagvs (So Bt, Bg, Ve; [Pa]mphilicvm P...vs (Sch, Ma, Pd, Kt - Pelagvs ganz bei Dj), it. (St, Agath, St, Liv), Mare Pamphylium (Flor, Pt, Pl), Pamphilicum (Hi 1. 3, Eb, Or), Pamphylius sinus; j. MB von Antalia.

[T.W:.] Heute ist noch "[–?-]PHILICUM [...]A[.]US“ lesbar. Bei Scheyb findet sich "[..]MPHILICUM PE[...]US", bei Welser "PAMPHILICVM PELAGVS". Sehr ähnliche Schreibweisen finden sich in antiken Quellen: "Pamphylium Mare" (Liv. 38,13) "Pamphylium Sinus" (Liv. 37,23); "Παμφύλιον πέλαγος " (Strab. 2,5,18; 14,6,1; Agathemeros 3,9; Ptol. 5,4,1; 5,14,1; 8,17,2; 8,20,2).
