Kommentar zum Toponym:

Kommentar (Talbert):
Miller`s reading seems over-confident. All I discern is two words (it seems), neither notably short, placed on a slant, one beginning up to the right of the peninsula, the other just beyond its lowest point. The only letters I find at all legible are "r" early in the first word (though this may not be its initial letter), followed by "a". The latter reading casts doubt on Miller`s Promont[orium]. The name may well have some connection to the peninsula, but even this is not certain.

Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 142:
Promont[orium] Pyreneū; ins Meer hineinragend; im Meere schwarz geschrieben.

Miller, Itineraria, Sp. 953:
Promonto[riū] Pyrenev̄ (So Sch, Dj. Die Alten lesen Promont. Pyre°neo (Bt, Bg, Ve). j. Cabo de Creus.

[T.W.] Heute ist nur noch "Promon[-?-] [-?-]e[-?-]" zu entziffern. Bei Welser findet sich "Promont Pyreneo", bei Scheyb "Promon[...] Pyreneū".
